CSUF IRB accepts applications year round. Determination of how your application will be reviewed is made AFTER you have submitted your application to the CSUF IRB office. IRB Applications must be submitted and approved prior to collecting data.
CSUF IRB applications are reviewed at three levels: Exempt, Expedited and Full Committee. If a project cannot be reviewed through either the "Exempt" or "Expedited" categories, we will notify you of the date your application is set for Full Committee review. If your attendance is required at a full committee meeting, you will be notified prior to the meeting by a primary reviewer.
The CSUF IRB full committee review meetings are held the 2nd Friday of each month. Applications that require full committee review should be submitted prior to the submission deadlines for full committee review.
