Writing Workshops
These workshops are especially helpful for those students in GE courses,
but all are welcome to attend. Students are encouraged to bring their writing prompts, rough drafts, and questions with them!
Topics:
• Thesis Development: This workshop is designed to assist students in learning how to form a strong thesis statement and develop their argument throughout the body of their papers.
• Essay Structure: This workshop is designed to assist students in developing their writing and organizational skills. Students will learn the basic components for writing a strong research paper or analytical essay. Develop their ideas, organize their thoughts and evidence.
• Grammar: This workshop is designed to help students increase skills in English grammar usage.
• Citation Format Styles: This workshop will cover APA, MLA, and Chicago formatting styles. Students will learn how to properly and consistently cite sources.
