Our Focus

Who We Are

The TAPP Center serves the transfer, adult re-entry, parenting, and pregnant students of CSUF. More than half of CSUF's student population falls into one of these categories.

Make TAPP your first stop when you are in search of a resource on campus! You can email, call, or come into our center to let us know what your needs are, and we will connect you with a campus or community resource that is best suited to your needs.

Our Vision

Our vision is to continuously evolve to meet the unique needs of non-traditional students by providing resources and recognition as they obtain their education.  We hope to create an inclusive environment that reaches beyond the classroom allowing our students to establish strong ties to the campus and surrounding communities.

Our Mission

Part of our mission is to create an  inclusive environment that reaches beyond the classroom allowing our students to establish strong ties to the campus and surrounding communities. The Wakeman Seminar Room in our center is a popular study and hang-out spot for TAPP students, and is one space where community is often being fostered.

We provide many events throughout the semester that offer students the opportunity to engage in community building.

  • WORKSHOPS

TAPP offers a variety of workshops throughout the year. Keep up to date with with our Instagram to be aware of when our next workshop is. Topics include academic, personal growth and professional development.

  • Personal growth

TAPP provides opportunities for students to engage in workshops that promote personal growth. In the past, we have partnered with CAPS to discuss mental health, stress management, and wellbeing, Sexual Violence Prevention Services to host an empowerment self-defense workshop, and TitanWell to share a lunch-and-learn on healthy eating.

Adult learners may experience feelings of isolation and concern about academic skills and performance. Many feel overwhelmed and unsure of how they will balance the multiple responsibilities. The TAPP Center is aware of the unique needs of re-entry students and offers support and services to foster and enhance students’ growth and success.

  • Academic

TAPP partners with the Academic Advising Center twice a year near registration to provide programming on academic advising for transfer students. These workshops cover the Titan Degree Audit, selecting courses, how to register, and other useful information.

  • Professional Devlopment

TAPP partners with the Career Center several times throughout the year to provide programming that enhances the professional development of studies. Drive-thru resume and cover letter review, scholarship essay writing, LinkedIn, and interviewing skills are some of the topics covered in workshops.
