In Memoriam: Dr. Lauren Vu

It is with great sadness that we announce Dr. Lauren Vu (Bac Si MARIA VU THUY LOAN) passed away on April 15, 2015. Dr. Vu was a physician at the Student Health & Counseling Center. She started working at CSUF in June 2006 as an intermittent and was hired as a full-time staff physician April 7, 2008. During her tenure she served many CSUF students. She was a woman of great faith, strength and drive, very caring and compassionate, matching her excellence as a wonderful and bright physician. She found great joy in working at the health center seeing patients. Her commitment was evident as she volunteered to serve as chair of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Committee and was always eager to assist and collaborate with her colleagues.

Dr. Vu retired from Cal State University, Fullerton January 30th as her illness was limiting her ability to practice medicine and serve patients. She lost her battle to cancer on April 15, 2015. She will be forever missed in the Student Health & Counseling Center.
