Royce International Symposium

 

Cal State Fullerton is proud to call Ed Royce one of our distinguished alumni. Driven by a commitment to public service, passion for international policy, and understanding of complex global issues, former Congressman Royce served the Orange County region as a member of the United States House of Representatives for over 25 years including Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee (2013-2019).

To honor him and his vision as statesman, the Royce International Symposium has been established to advance academic research and campus-based community engagement on issues of international significance. Hosted annually by the Department of Political Science and organized by a committee of faculty and alumni, the Royce International Symposium will engage influential experts to reflect on current issues impacting Orange County in a global context.

Throughout our history, American educational institutions have played a key role in public diplomacy. For this diplomacy to be effective, the United States must have a citizenry that is better informed about and more prepared to engage the world.
