Titan of Resilience: An Le

An Le had typical teen worries about what to do with her life. As a new immigrant to the U.S., she faced the additional challenges of learning an unfamiliar language and culture. She longed to pursue a college degree, but her parents emphasized employment.

While working in an hourly position, An continued to feel the call to higher education. Enrolling at Cal State Fullerton, she discovered her talent for accounting and met a supportive network of friends and professionals through activities like Beta Alpha Psi, the financial information student honor society, and VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), where she provided free tax preparation to low-income individuals.

An Le and her father

Now a proud Titan graduate, An is working at a Big Four accounting firm – her dream position. Seeing how CSUF helped their daughter find her path, An’s parents changed their minds about college. Her father is now enrolled in college, pursuing his own degree.
