Welcome to the Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics prepares new generations of problem solvers for positions in education, laboratories, and industry.

We offer undergraduate, credential, and master's degree programs, with a strong research component. Through our award-winning department via the American Mathematical Society, we mentor students in first-hand research and teaching experiences, including faculty-led research teams, summer research programs, a year-long single-subject teaching credential program, supplemental instruction opportunities, apprenticeship programs, and paid graduate teaching positions. 

Mathematics Programs that Make a Difference

The Department of Mathematics at California State University at Fullerton (CSUF) received the 2022 AMS Mathematics Programs that Make a Difference Award. The department is recognized for its excellent record of mentoring and graduating students from underrepresented groups.
