The Ericksen LGBTQ Grant Program
The Ericksen LGBTQ Grant Program at Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) provides financial assistance to CSUF students seeking support to access queer- affirming and/or gender-affirming resources such as healthcare, mental health support, etc.; or who have been affected by an unforeseen emergency, crisis, catastrophic event, or personal hardship
that hinders their ability to pursue their education. T
his program is designed to assist students who cannot reasonably resolve their financial difficulty through scholarships and/or other financial aid awards. Support may include funds for gender affirming healthcare resources, queer-affirming mental healthcare resources, basic living expenses such as housing, transportation or academic funding due to a loss of familial support (e.g. books, tuition, campus housing, etc.). The grants are provided at the discretion of the Senior Coordinator of the Losquadro Keller LGBTQ Resource Center in consultation with the Diversity Initiatives & Resource Centers Director. Grants are awarded up to $500 per student per academic year and may take 4-6 weeks to be paid out to the student. Students will be accepted on an as-needed basis.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be enrolled and matriculated CSUF student
- Must be able to demonstrate an urgent financial need. Supporting documentation is helpful.
- Must have exhausted all sources of financial assistance.
- Must meet with the LGBT Queer Resource Center Coordinator to discuss the grant application.
All eligible students are encouraged to apply. The LGBT Queer Resource Center does not consider gender identity, sexual orientation or any other protected status as part of the application and selection process for the grant.
