Who is eligible for Windows 10 Education?

Windows 10 Education is available for currently enrolled students, excludes open enrollment students. Students must be registered for classes in order to access the software.

Where do I find my product key?

The product key is located on your receipt and can be accessed from your Kivuto store account for 30 days after you order it (the specific expiration date is listed on your receipt). Be sure to print the screen or take a screenshot of it before the 30 days are up!

I  have my product key, where do I get the software?

You will have 30 days to download the software from the Kivuto WebStoreOpens in new window .  After the 30 days have elapsed you will have to go to Microsoft's download centerOpens in new window to get the software.

How many computers can I install Windows 10 Education on?

Windows 10 Education can be installed on one computer ONLY.

Will I lose access to Windows 10 Education when I graduate?

If you got your Windows 10 Education product key through the Kivuto WebStoreOpens in new window , you will not lose access to the software after graduation.  The software is yours to keep.

Will my copy of Windows 10 Education expire?

No. Windows 10 Education is not a temporary subscription or trial software.  Your software will not expire.

Note:  You will have 30 days to download the software and/or product key from the Kivuto WebStoreOpens in new window .  After the 30 days have elapsed you will have to go to Microsoft's download centerOpens in new window to get the software provided you have the product key.

Will Upgrading to Windows 10 Education cause me to lose my data?

You will need to do a "clean installation" when upgrading from Windows XP or Vista.  This means that all files & applications saved on your computer will be lost during the upgrade.

Upgrading from Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or an earlier version of Windows 10 does not require a clean installation.  Files, applications and settings will not be lost during the upgrade.

Note: It is recommended that you back up important files prior to upgrading your operating system.

Should I install the 32-bit or 64-bit version?

You should install 32-bit software if your operating system (OS) is 32-bit, and 64-bit software if your OS is 64-bit.

Note: Most 32-bit software can run on computers with a 64-bit OS, but 64-bit software can only run on computers with a 64-bit OS.  If you are unsure, it is strongly recommended that you install the 32-bit version.

What happens if I don't retrieve my product key within the 30 days?

You will have have the option to purchase Access Retrieval from the Kivuto WebStoreOpens in new window .  With Access Retrieval you will have an additional 60 days to retrieve your product key.  It is highly recommended that you print out or email the product key at the time you request it to avoid having to pay to retrieve your product key.

What is Extended Guarantee?

You will have have the option to purchase Extended Guarantee from the Kivuto WebStoreOpens in new window when you request your product key.  With Extended Guarantee you will have an additional 24 months to retrieve your product key and/or software download.  It is highly recommended that you print out or email the product key at the time you request it to avoid having to pay to retrieve your product key.

Note:  Extended Guarantee is only available within the 30 days of your initial request, after which you can purchase Access Retrieval which costs more and is for 60 days only.

Who should I contact for installation assistance?
