Teleconferencing

CSUF offers free and fee-based teleconferencing.

CSUF FREE Teleconferencing

Limitations on FREE Teleconferencing:

There IS a limit to the number of people who may participate in these teleconferences.  A total of 12 people may be on the call (i.e. the moderator plus 11 participants.)  Please schedule the teleconference at least 2 business days ahead of the time requested.

How to Schedule a FREE Teleconference:

Use the Outlook calendar to find an available meeting time by creating a New Meeting, selecting “Scheduling Assistant,” and selecting “Add Rooms” to find an open teleconference room.  Choose from the  Teleconference No Fee  rooms and find an available time.  A Telecom staff member will respond to the meeting invitation confirming the teleconference time and dialing instructions.  (Please note the teleconference phone number is in the name of the teleconference.)

Using a FREE Teleconference:

The first person to call the teleconference phone number will hear ringing until another person calls into the system.  As soon as the second caller dials into the teleconference, the call is established.  (There is no music while waiting for participants to enter.)  As long as one caller is still on the line, the teleconference will remain active; however, once everyone has hung up, the line is disconnected and is no longer available for teleconferencing even if the meeting time has not expired.
