Afsaneh Hamedani

Director, Division of Information Technology, CSUF

Afsaneh Hamedani is the Director of Information Technology at the California State University, Fullerton (CSUF). She joined CSUF in 2001 as staff for the Division of Information Technology. She has extensive experiences in Project Management and Marketing. She specializes in Student Technology Services including Student Success Initiative (SSI), Innovation/Makerspace Center, Information & Learning Commons, Student IT Call Center, Classroom Technology and University ID Card System. She has broad understanding of Assessment and has track record of establishing work processes and metrics, and assessing and improving the technical, operational and support aspects.

She received her Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from the college of Informatik in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she worked as an ERP consultant in IFS Sverige AB. She has training in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, ITIL and SLII.

Currently, she serves as the technology liaison for Student Affairs and is the Project Manager for the Faculty Student Success Dashboard (FSSD) project.

She has advanced knowledge of Persian and Swedish cultures and proficient in Farsi and Swedish languages.
