I studied Biochemistry as an undergraduate at CSUF, and received my B.S. in 1997. I received an M.S. in Chemistry from CSUF in 2000, just prior to my matriculation into UCSD medical school. I recently graduated from UCSD in 2004 and joyfully accepted a residency position in Emergency Medicine at University of Washington in Seattle/Tacoma, WA. After completing my Emergency Medicine Residency in Seattle 2007, I've relocated to beautiful Chicago and am practicing emergency medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago (since 2007).
I would love to be of any assistance in helping other pre-med students reach their dreams of becoming a doctor. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all the help I received along the way. I am very grateful to the Health Professions Advising Office (Barb and Dr. MacFarland at the time) for the time and effort they put into me, and for the help they provided in getting me into UCSD's medical school.
I have a spare bedroom (available most of the time except when we have family visit or friends) that I would be happy to make available to students in need that are interviewing in Chicago. It's a simple train ride from either airports in chicago to our place downtown, and a simple train ride from our place to the major medical schools downtown (i.e. Rush UMC, UIC, Stroger/Cook County).
Enduring the bitter cold currently, but lovin' it. :)
