Summer Session Revamp
Summer Session provides an opportunity for CSUF student to take classes to help them make additional progress toward graduation. In 2021, Summer Session was revised to allow students to pay for courses per unit, rather than a flat fee. The purpose of the change was to increase student engagement, give year-round access to some courses, to improve retention, and to continue to facilitate timely progress toward graduation.
The revamp led to an increase of 3-unit takers, and almost all colleges achieved an average of 25 students or more.
