The Application Process
How is a candidate evaluated?
Our program incorporates a streamlined, two-step process to thoroughly evaluate candidates. The two distinct components used to assess the candidate are as follows:
1) Standardized test scores and Grade Point Average (GPA)
2) Application, essay, and recommendations
What does a candidate need to do?
First-Time Freshmen
Incoming freshmen candidates (graduating high school seniors) must complete the online application; this covers academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, an essay, and recommender information.
First-Time Transfers
Incoming Transfer candidates must complete a PDF application; this covers academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities, leadership roles, an essay, and recommender information.
Does a candidate have to be accepted to Cal State Fullerton to apply for the scholarship?
You are not required to be accepted to Cal State Fullerton at the time of application submission, however — if selected — you must be accepted to the institution to receive the award.
