LGBT Resources

The Multicultural Leadership Center serves as the LGBT SafeSpace Headquarters and provides various resources that support our LGBT community.  These efforts began in 2006 with the Lavender Working Group, which was created to enhance the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) pride, visibility, and campus support.  This group accomplished its primary goals which were to develop programming that addresses LGBT issues and to create and sustain an LGBT SafeSpace Program. 

Annual programs include the LGBT Lavender Welcome Reception (fall and spring), National Coming Out Day Pridelist Ad, the LGBT Pride Recognition Ceremony, and advising and programming support for clubs and organizations.  Additionally, the MLC has subscriptions to the Advocate, Curve, and Out magazines.
