Civil Rights and Equity Student Ambassador Program 


Week 1: Thursday, Feb. 27 from 3:00-4:30pm in PLS-240

Week 2: Thursday, Mar. 6 from 3:00-4:30pm in PLS-240

Join a small cohort of CSUF students to learn about the Office for Civil Rights and Equity, relevant services on campus, and how to create more inclusive spaces for Titans of all identities. The program provides training and practical skills for selected students to serve as a source of information and support for their organization or social circle related to civil rights and inclusivity.

This program is a resume builder, leadership development opportunity, and networking opportunity! After completing the program, Civil Rights and Equity Student Ambassadors will receive resources, information on how to add the experience to their resume, and invitations to Ambassador-only events for ongoing personal and professional development. 

Civil Rights and Equity Employee Ambassador Program

Day 1 of 2: Friday, February 28, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in PLS 360. Light refreshments and coffee/tea served.

Day 2 of 2: Friday, March 7, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in PLS 299.  Catered breakfast and coffee/tea served.

The Civil Rights and Equity Employee Ambassador program is a professional development opportunity for all CSUF employees to learn more about campus resources related to civil rights and equity issues on campus. Program participants will build skills to support colleagues and students who may be impacted by misconduct based on any protected status. Participants will also learn introductory principles for creating more inclusive spaces. The goal of the program is for Civil Rights and Equity Employee Ambassadors to feel prepared to offer accurate information to colleagues and students about everyone’s rights and options at CSUF related to the Office for Civil Rights and Equity.

Successful completion of the Civil Rights and Equity Ambassador program involves attending both scheduled sessions in their entirety.  RSVP to reserve your spot!

Civil Rights and Equity Student Ambassador Refresher Workshop

Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Gordon Hall 336

Current Title IX Student Ambassadors are invited to refresh and expand their knowledge by attending this interactive Student Ambassador-only workshop. In addition to reviewing the protected statuses covered under the CSU Nondiscrimination Policy and exploring updates to CSU policy and campus resources, you will learn how you can continue to support the Titan community by appropriately advocating for more equitable spaces on campus. Students who have already completed the Title IX Student Ambassador curriculum will leave this session as certified Civil Rights and Equity Student Ambassadors.  RSVP to reserve your spot!

Civil Rights and Equity Employee Ambassador Refresher

Monday, March 17, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. in PLN 130.  Boxed lunches served.

Current Title IX Employee Ambassadors are invited to refresh and expand their knowledge by attending this interactive Ambassador-only workshop and lunch. "Safe Spring Break" Tabling Event

Tuesday, March 25th, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Central Quad

Join the Office of Civil Rights and Equity and on- and off-campus partners to learn and develop skills and strategies to ensure a safe Spring Break! Each table will host an interactive activity to help participants cultivate strategies to promote safety and fun during Spring Break. The event will feature games and giveaways, and attendees who participate in table activities will have multiple opportunities to win prizes!

Mandatory Training for Specific Groups

The Office for Civil Rights and Equity provides mandatory Title IX training for new and returning members of Sports Clubs, recognized fraternities and sororities, identified student organizations, Division I student-athletes, and specified groups of employees, including those working in Athletics and Housing and Residential Engagement. To learn more about mandatory Title IX training for specific populations, review the Training page or email titleixtraining@fullerton.edu.

Civil Rights and Equity Ambassador Programs

The Office for Civil Rights and Equity regularly hosts Ambassador programs for students and employees interested in learning how to create more inclusive and equitable spaces for community members of all identities and lived experiences.
