Mission Statement

Empower CSUF students to live a healthy lifestyle as they attain educational success through holistic, compassionate, and quality care in an environment that fosters resilience and personal growth on their journey towards life-long wellness.

What is Wellness?

A holistic approach to well-being focuses on the 9 Dimensions of Wellness that include physical, emotional, social, occupational, creative, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, and financial wellness. Wellness goes beyond physical and mental health to include an individual’s ability to identify and achieve goals, satisfy needs, and the ability to change and cope with the demands of our environment. The 9 Dimensions of Wellness are not all encompassing but offers a dynamic concept that guides us on our journey towards a fulfilled and flourishing life.

Scope of Care

The CAPS Wellness Room provides students with a holistic approach to managing mental health in supporting their physical and emotional needs through a variety of services. Our new space welcomes students to make a reservation with the massage chairs or napping pods, practice mindfulness techniques while exploring the art area, attend a yoga session, and connect with peers on their mental health wellness journey in the lounge relaxation space.
