OUR OFFICE

Basic Needs Services provides comprehensive programs and support to students who experience unforeseen hardships that often result in food, housing, and financial insecurity.  Forms of assistance include food support, temporary housing, grant funds, hygiene products, and access to gently worn professional attire. Students are also provided guidance and referrals to on and off-campus resources. Such support alleviates the distress of meeting one’s basic needs while also managing academic, work, and other responsibilities, thus promoting well-being and retention.

GOALS

  • To provide CSUF students with support via food, temporary housing, hygiene products, gently-worn professional clothing and Basic Needs grant funds.
  • To provide students with ongoing guidance and assistance through both on-campus resources and off-campus community social services.
