Master of Fine Arts in Theatre
Design and Technical Production & Directing Concentrations are for students who desire a professionally oriented education and training in design and technical production and directing. Students in the MFA program are at the core of our departmental productions, leading the department in all areas of design and productions. Students receive one-on-one mentoring, which supports a tailor-made educational process that guides students toward success.

Design and Technical Production Concentration
The Design and Technical concentration prepares students for a career in design and technical theatre. The curriculum core requires study in design and production, history, literature and theatre criticism. Students are required to participate in department production activities, including plays, musicals, dance and opera.
Design and Technical concentrations include: Costumes; Lighting; Scenic; and Technical Direction with secondary areas of study in: Costume Technology; Theatrical Makeup; Sound; Projections; and Property.
Directing Concentration
The Directing concentration prepares students for a career in directing plays and musicals. The curriculum core requires study in acting, directing, design and production, history, literature and theatre criticism. Students are required to participate in department production activities, including plays, musicals, dance and opera .
