Prof. Eve Himmelheber (proud Actors Equity Association, SAG-AFTRA, Stage Directors & Choreographers Foundation, and California Faculty Association union member) has performed, directed, choreographed, voice and dialect coached in diverse professional settings, including twice invited among the nation’s 16 finest college students to audition at the Kennedy Center, backup singer for Kristen Chenoweth at the Greek Theatre (Los Angeles), featured and backup singer for numerous Broadway musicals at the Hollywood Bowl, solo dancer in a Pacific Chorale world premiere “choral opera” (Segerstrom Concert Hall), lead vocalist in a promotional audio recording for the original musical I Married Wyatt Earp, regional theatre, festivals and civic light opera.  She has been honored with Los Angeles Times and OC Weekly “Critic's Pick” awards for her acting.  She has performed in numerous CSUF high-profile event (CPAC opening ceremonies, several Concerts Under the Stars, and Broadway and BBQ).  Prior to coming “home” in 2004 to CSUF (where she earned her MFA in Acting in 1995), Eve taught Theatre at the University of Arizona, Iowa State University, Cypress College and Rio Hondo College.  She has served on the Executive Board for Region VIII (Southwest) of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival from 1995 through 2009, earning the Kennedy Center Gold Medallion as well as an Excellence in Education award, and is now a regional Fellow.  After extensive service over the years, she was selected to Chair two different university committees at CSUF (the Academic Appeals Board and the Academic Standards Committee).  She grew up in Costa Mesa, and then Cypress – a home-grown artist.
