Goal-Based Networking:

Presented by the Business Finance, Business Titans, Communications & Hispanic/Latino Alumni Chapters

Wednesday, November 19
6:30 – 9 p.m.

Registration Fee:  $10/Person

Golleher Alumni House
800 N. State College Blvd.
Fullerton, CA 92832

Join us as we welcome award-winning author Jeff Beals and learn more about “Goal-Based Networking.”  Networking has never been more important, yet most professionals don’t do a great job of it. The successful professionals are the ones who cut through all the noise in today’s frenzied world and find ways to build trusting relationships with clients, colleagues and persons of influence. Now is the time to get out and meet new people! This session will introduce you to “goal-based networking,” a technique that sharply focuses your communication efforts.  You will learn what to say, when to say it and to whom you should say it.  You will learn how to synthesize social media with traditional networking.  Once you master goal-based networking, your colleagues will be left wondering just how you became so well connected both locally and within your profession.

Chapter News

group photoHaving suffered a devastating loss last year, the alumni came prepared to do whatever it took to regain their winning title. Despite the weather being in the high 90's, they took to the field early to sneak in a little warmup practice while the students rested in the shade. As soon as the game got started, it was clear that this was going to be an easy victory...for the students. As it turns out, 10 minutes of practice in the blistering heat does not match up well against youth, agility, stamina, and hand-eye coordination. For the second year in a row, the students were victorious, leaving the alumni to wonder if their glory days are behind them.

Spring Baseball Tailgate

tailegateAlumni and Titan Baseball Fans gathered at the Golleher Alumni House on February 22nd for a pre-game tailgate. The program included refreshments, prizes, and a Q&A Session featuring Assistant Coach Mike Kirby and All-American RHP Thomas Eshelman.

“The event was so much fun I WILL NOT miss it next year and I suggest you don't either. Go Titans!!!” Verne Wagner ’77

“It feels really good to attend an event where you’re surrounded by good people and  to hear our student athlete and coach talk about their experiences with such passion. Events like these make me proud to be a CSUF alumni." Gio Carranza ’05

Attendees were able to mix and mingle with alumni, students and industry representatives. There were several familiar faces, and plenty of new ones, laughing and having a good time as they caught up with old friends and made some new ones.
