Symbols

The first button is Horizontal Line  .  This allows you to put a horizontal line to divide page content (see below).

The second button is Insert Line Break  .  This will insert a single line space, rather than the double line space of a new paragraph.  Shift/Enter will also create a single line break, as enter creates a new paragraph/double line space.

The third button is Special Character  . This button opens a special character dialogue box.
