David Bell
David Bell is a Senior Systems Security Engineer and Email Systems Architect at Proofpoint, Inc., a cybersecurity company based in Silicon Valley. He has a background in secure networking hardware and software solutions, with over 18 years of experience in the field before transitioning to a focus on cybersecurity.
In his current role, David is dedicated to helping organizations defend against cybercrime by preventing external threats such as Impostor Emails, Malware, Phishing and TOADs (Telephone Oriented Attack Delivery). Additionally, David is helping organizations identify sensitive information and protecting it with a comprehensive data loss prevention strategy that helps organizations prevent internal threats. Furthermore, recent acquisitions at Proofpoint have extended David’s capabilities to include credential vulnerabilities in Azure, Active Directory and endpoints. Prior to Proofpoint David also had ‘Engineering roles at Tellabs, CenturyLink, and Qwest Communications.
