On-Campus Interview Program

Update***The On-Campus Interview Program has transitioned to a Virtual Campus Interview program for the fall 2020 semester. You can still find these opportunites via Titan Connection that are located within Titan Connection under "search jobs and internships".  If selected for a Virtual Campus Interview you will be provided with instructions to conduct your interview via Zoom, Skype, or another virtual platform of the employer's choice.

For more information, please contact Jessica Casica at jecasica@fullerton.edu or Stephanie Reyes at sreyes@fullerton.edu

Who is Eligible to Participate?

OCI is open to ALL currently enrolled CSUF students. Graduate students and alumni within 6 months of having graduated may participate at the employer's discretion. For internships, please check the OCI job posting for specifics on desired class level(s).

* International students seeking employment in the U.S. should consult with the International Education & Exchange Office University Hall 244 (UH 244) before participating in the program. Many OCI employment opportunities require that a student is eligible to work for any U.S. employer, without current or future visa sponsorship.*

How Do I Get Started?

  1. Have your resume reviewed at the Drive-Thru desk.
  2. Upload your resume on Titan Connection under the documents tab.
  3. Review the interview schedule, research company profiles, submit your resume to companies for consideration and sign up for interviews.
  4. Utilize InterviewPrep located HERE to practice your interviewing skills.

What companies are conducting interviews this semester?

From the home page of your Titan Connection account, from the top level menu, select the "Jobs" and then select, the drop-down menu, "Show Me" (directly below the keyword search field).  Next select "All Interviews". You should now see all the Interviews.

If you want to just see the interviews you qualify for, select "Interviews I Qualify For".

What's the difference between Pre-Select and Open?

Pre-Select allows you to submit a resume to an employer, provided you meet the qualifications for the position. The employer will review all resumes received, and select the students to be interviewed.

Open allows you to go directly to the employer's schedule, pick an available time slot and sign up for an interview. Most interview schedules have a maximum of 12 interview slots per day. Anyone who meets the employer's requirements according to the posted position information may sign up for an interview.

When can I submit a resume and sign up for an interview?

Each interview schedule has a specific resume submission and interview sign up timeline. Please check regularly to avoid missing critical deadlines.

How do I know if I have been selected for a Pre-Select interview?

You must often check your email or your status via Titan Connection for notification of an interview invite. Once you receive this notification, sign up through Titan Connection for your interview time slot immediately. Time slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis; the sooner you sign up, the more time options you'll have.

(Not applicable during Virtual Campus Interview period)

Where are the interviews and when should I arrive?

All OCI interviews are held in the Career Center, Langsdorf Hall 208 (LH 208). Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled interview time. Bring several copies of your resume and other materials to the interview.

What if I need to cancel an interview?

If you need to cancel an interview, you may do so on-line at least two working days prior to the interview. This will allow the alternates to sign up for your time slot. Please contact Jessica Casica at jecasica@fullerton.edu or Stephanie Reyes at sreyes@fullerton.edu   if you must cancel after that time. Failure to do either of the above will result in forfeiture of your interviewing privileges for one year.

What if I miss a scheduled interview?

If you fail to keep a scheduled interview, please contact us as soon as possible to explain your absence. We require that you send a letter of explanation to the interviewer and a copy of that letter to Nancy Lopez, Employer Relations Coordinator. You will need to email Jessica Casica at jecasica@fullerton.edu or Stephanie Reyes at sreyes@fullerton.edu  to obtain the name and contact information for the interviewer.

If we have not heard from you within one week of your missed interview, we will notify you via email that you have been made ineligible for any additional activity in the interviewing program until we receive a copy of your letter. Missing a second interview will result in loss of interviewing privileges.

When will I hear back after the interview?

You may not hear anything until the end of the semester. Contact the employer directly for information on your status.

What should I do about my other interviews if I’ve accepted an offer?

Once you accept a job offer, you have the professional and ethical obligation to cancel all other interviews and to notify any other employers with whom you have already interviewed.

Once a position has been accepted, it is unprofessional to continue to interview with employers. Reneging, or declining an offer that you have already accepted can have serious consequences for you as a professional, and reflects negatively on CSUF and its ethical principles.
